Breathe presents – Whole Holiday Eating, with Amanda Skrip

This holiday season, nip excess in the bud, and celebrate healthy, festive, and affordable food and drink. In this three part series, Amanda Skrip, natural foods chef and wellness consultant, will dish out her favorite easy recipes and simple strategies to keep you fit well into the New Year.  And if 2011 is the year you will detox, get healthy, and/or cook more at home, this is the start of making your resolutions a reality.

All events will include:

  • LEARN healthy recipes and tips for making good choices
  • ENJOY delicious food and drink that you can prepare at home
  • JOIN in class demonstrations and discussions

Nov 9 – Festive Food + Drink – A Cooking Class

Amanda will demonstrate 4 healthy, simple, and delicious recipes perfect for holiday entertaining. Taste all the dishes, each paired with an affordable wine (available at Whole Foods), to learn flavor combinations that will delight your guests. Plus, learn the techniques involved by helping to prepare some of the dishes.

Dec 16 – Party Survival Guide – A Wellness Workshop (with quick recipe demo)

Want to get and stay fit through this holiday season, but worried about the temptations?

This wellness workshop will provide tips for enjoying the holidays while keeping fit and focused. We will also discuss some great ways to build immunity and ward off sweet temptations. Amanda will demonstrate a few seasonal recipes at the end, which you can prepare for guests or bring to holiday parties.

Jan 6 – Detox!  Undo Holiday Damage + Kickstart Your Resolutions (with quick recipe demo)

Holidays have left you haggard?! Do your best…but over-indulge a bit?

It happens to all of us – but you can get back on track with this wellness workshop. Amanda will discuss techniques for simple and effective food-based cleanses to help reset your body’s balance.  Whether or not you are interested in cleansing, the tips and techniques are applicable to all health goals and will surely help you turn over a new, healthier leaf in 2011.
